AIO Android Auto does not work an any FW 70. If you have official Android Auto (AA) with hardware installed, the latest firmware which could be enabled via ID7v2 to install AiO Tweaks via USB is 70.00.352. Most stable FW for AIO AA is 59.00.502. But official AA is even more stable - this requires a FW starting with 70 or 74. Nexus 6P running Android 7.1.1, head unit running .441 version. Bluetooth working well, but it freezes, and you have to press the menu to unfreeze it (which I know was mentioned in the OP), but when making a call it takes you to the Mazda phone call screen and doesn't keep you in Android Auto. Android Auto DPI change with comparison screenshots (70.00.367 vs 74.00.310) In this thread about Mazda Connect firmware 74.00.310, there was mention that the DPI was changed from the older firmwares (actually, the change was in an earlier 74.00.xxx release, but this one didn't undo that change). Connect dongle to USB, Pair dongle to phone with bluetooth, and I think that's all that was needed. The the settings of Android Auto, there's a toggle "Start Android Auto when locked". It was off. I turned it on and now it seems to work. I've tried 2 separate times and I don't have issues anymore. I did that and I also reset vehicle to factory settings, then the pixel worked. It was just as smooth as CarPlay, except that the touchscreen doesnt work, and that is by design. Affected users across multiple Reddit threads and Google’s support forums say that Android Auto has just suddenly stopped working recently, primarily on Pixel 6 and Pixel 7 devices. This doesn Happened with my 2017 and 2020 Mazda CX-5s, with my Pixel XL3, and now Pixel 5. Audio works fine for the phone call, then after the call, I've got nothing coming through from maps or music. To fix I have to disconnect and reconnect. 7. 10. A04L.
