Surging can be an EGR problem. A hard judder could be worn friction plates in the torque converter lockup clutch. This sort of judder is sometimes described as being like driving over a cattle grid. Perhaps low oil pressure for the lockup clutch (sticky solenoid or worn oil pump).

This battery is about £80 from Mercedes. However, it turns out it is a motorcycle battery equivalent and available from many sources eg Ebay for about £40 (or less with a bit of pfaff) One that is compatible is the YTX14-BS available from many manufacturers. I got one and it dropped straight in and solved the problem.
We have a problematic W212 OM651 300 Hybrid, transmission control unit has been replaced, (New from factory & initialised with original Xentry. ECU & TCU software`s are up to date.) Problem after activating TCU is that the wet clutch teach in cannot go trough, because car shuts down. Benz starts and runs for about 3 seconds and shuts off.

MB E350 W212. Hi! I have some problems with MB E350 W212 with 7G tronic transmission. There are some probems accelerating from 40-50km/h, sometimes acceleration is not smooth and there is small vibration. It seems to be on 3th or 4rd gear, mostly when cruising or slowly accelerating. When accelerating more agressivly then everyhing is ok.
